If you are craving some lobster, the Fishman Lobster Clubhouse (4020 Finch Avenue East, Toronto) is a popular destination for many people. They specialize (and the menu also reflects this) heavily towards large lobster combos (+4lbs) for groups of people, so be ready for it. But, if you are a lobster fan like I am, and don't mind taking home leftovers for another day or two...Then you might be fine going as a couple if your stomach and wallet are ready for it. We typically went for the 6 lbs lobster combo that comes with fried rice and stir-fried pea shoots with goji berries, that is meant for 4 people :) ..More lobster for me!
They literally drag out the lobster for you to examine before they cook it for you, most people like to pose with it for a couple of photos, and I did it largely to demonstrate its size, since it was the first time I had seen one that large. I prefer the ginger/onion style of cooking (which I thought was great), but the Hong Kong style is more popular (and also a tad too spicy for me). The fried rice is also noteworthy, as it is cooked with the lobster flavours and is delicious. Take a look at the photos below and let us know what you think!
