Montreal Car Dealers Fight Back
Why is it so hard to shop for a car on the weekend in Montreal? Well, protests for one, have made it tricky over the past few years...Here are a couple of links for some back story:- The sin of Montreal's weekend car dealer
- We want to work weekends: Montreal car dealers
- West Island car dealership takes leap, opens Saturdays
But, the short version is that many dealers just simply don't want to work on weekends at all...And they don't want other dealers to start working weekends either. They have their reasons I'm sure, but as a Montreal car buyer/shopper it's not convenient at all. Car shoppers don't really care what reason car dealers have for not being open on weekends; just for comparison in Ontario, they open 6 days a week. The good news is that things are slowly changing here in Montreal. I've put together a short (not exhaustive) list of places that I've found that actually offer you the convenience of buying a new car on a weekend.
Montreal Car Dealers Open on Saturday
For any others I missed, feel free to comment, and I'll update the list below.- Looking to buy a Cadillac, GM, Chevrolet or Buick in Montreal on a Saturday? Gravel on Decarie can hook you up.
- Chrysler, Fiat, Dodge, Jeep are covered by Boulevard on Côte de Liesse
- A number of Spinelli car dealerships are open on Saturday (ie: Nissan, Honda Toyota, Infiniti, Kia, Mazda), but not all their dealerships are open.
- Ford is also well represented on Saturdays: here, here and here.
