I wanted to be able to salvage something from my old laptop (besides using it as a door stop—since my laptop died on me). The only thing I could think of would be to reuse the hard drive.
I had to look around Montreal a bit to find this, but Microbytes had a NexStar SX External 2.5" HDD Enclosure for my old laptop hard drive. So I plopped in my old laptop hard drive into the enclosure, plugged in the USB cable and Windows 7 picked it up right away. Nice.
Now I can access all my old files, and now have a nice shiny portable hard drive to boot. Looks like a good pickup so far.
