I didn't expect any action on their part since it was past the official "60-day warranty". No news from them by email at all either. Not even a rejection email like I expected.
But, then I got an unexpected Purolator package (I was completely dumbfounded...Like "Huh what's this???"). And what do you know...They sent me a new guitar! Nice work guys! You are back on my shopping list. But, first let's hope this one works...Or else it's back on my black list.

They should change it to "100% Satisfaction—but only within our 60-day warranty otherwise...tough luck!". If electronics companies can offer years of warranty on expensive TVs etc. you'd think EA can do a little better than 60-days on chintzy toy guitars.
