I just noticed that the MSI Wind is now on the Microbytes website listing at $549. Compared to the Asus Eee 900 model it seems to be a better deal, since it has a larger screen and 80GB hard drive built into it (also, be wary of which battery it comes with: 3-cell vs 6-cell)...But it also means that it's probably bigger than the Eee.
If size is not an issue, instead of a netbook like the Wind or Eee 901 at $550 you can easily get a full-featured laptop at that price. I would still hold out for the release of the Dell E and see what kind of pricing they decide to come up with.
