With my good warranty news in hand, I marched over to Concordia the next day. After fumbling around the wrong building looking for the store, I finally asked someone in the bookstore basement for directions to the computer store.
So, I get to the store and I describe the problem...Thankfully, the warranty covers everything! Sweet! Beside the time I spent bringing it in, it didn't cost me even one cent. I have to say that was the first time I ever used warranty in my life, and props to IBM (now Lenovo which bought their laptop division) for the good warranty service.
A couple of days later, when I went to pick it up, I find out that it was just too much dust in the fan. It just needed some cleaning with some compressed air...Live and learn...
