CTV.ca News Staff: The Montreal region has been paralyzed by more than 30 centimetres of snow, and more is on the way. Traffic is snarled, schools are closed and flights have been cancelled due to the nasty winter storm, which swung past southwestern Ontario on Thursday -- but saved its biggest punch for Quebec.
Actually, walking in downtown Montreal seemed quite nice and peaceful...much quieter than normal, with very few cars on the streets making it easy get around by foot (i.e. fewer drivers trying to run you over while crossing the street). Heard on the news we got 40+ cm of snow, amazing!
